Experimenting with abstract forms in sand.

These require slowing down and looking closely,

moving at a smaller scale, witnessing what we otherwise miss,

and giving space for what may come when we choose presence.

Seascape is a series made at dawn, when the rising sun gives an ethereal quality to the dynamic between sand and water. Otherwise-unseen hues and textures begin to reveal themselves. As the tide shimmers and spreads across the sand, the scale is difficult to determine - are we looking at the entire shore or a small patch? What are these faces and forms appearing in vibrant pinks and purples as the tide recedes? Are these paintings, or photographs, or something else?
